Before I get into the newsletter, I have to give some love to Kin Bakeshop and the community out at Santa Barbara. I had my first popup outside of the Los Angeles-Orange County area and the turnout really blew me away. When I first pulled up at 10:30AM for my popup, I saw a line outside the building and thought it was a busy Sunday morning at Kin. Little did I know that customers were standing in line since 10AM waiting for me to start my popup. That line didn’t die down until I was sold out an hour & a half later. So insane. I’m still feeling the love from that day— from everyone that came out + bought pastries, from Tommy and the Kin Bakeshop team, from my boyfriend who always supports me at these popups and from everyone who messaged me or replied to my stories with their words of support. Seeing a turnout like that really made all the uncertain moments, self-doubt and hard work worth the effort. It feels incredibly rewarding, validating and fulfilling to be able to do this work— so thank you for supporting me and for showing me love. I can’t wait to be back with a popup in Santa Barbara! It’s my goal to popup in other cities so let me know if you want me to come to you— I’d love to make it happen.
